The Centre for Chiropractic and Sports Rehabilitation provides services for a variety of different injuries including but not limited to overuse injuries, tendonitis, bursitis, rehabilitation following fractures or falls, sprains and strains. The chiropractors at the clinic take a soft-tissue approach to most injuries and provide patients with exceptional treatment including pre- and post-testing, hands-on soft-tissue release and manipulation, patient education, low-level laser therapy, shockwave and home exercise plans.
Unlike many chiropractic offices, the doctors at the Centre for Chiropractic and Sports Rehabilitation spend your entire booked appointment time with you, providing you with hands-on care and addressing your musculoskeletal concerns. This means that instead of getting an adjustment and being sent away until your next treatment, you are provided with treatment that not only provides lasting benefits, but that also includes tools to help yourself at home in hopes that you won’t need to continue to receive treatment for the rest of your life. In the event that this treatment approach isn’t right for you, your practitioner will refer you to another “professional”. It is their goal to get you better, whether that is through care at our facility, or another therapists’, makes no difference.
All of the chiropractors at the Centre for Chiropractic and Sports Rehabilitation are approved WCB practitioners and as such, are able to provide you with treatment following a work-place injury and provide direct billing for treatment and some basic rehabilitation equipment they may deem appropriate to your condition.
WCB patients, like any other at the clinic receive first-rate chiropractic treatment. Each new patient undergoes a comprehensive examination prior to beginning their treatment program. The treating practitioner will correspond with WCB regarding diagnosis, treatment plan, treatment approach and your progress. Dependent on your condition, your chiropractor may recommend that you perform modified duties, or even refrain from working depending on severity.
Following your initial examination, you will then book 20-minute treatments with your chiropractor. Each of these treatments may include a number of different treatment techniques as well as rehabilitative exercises and stretches.
In the event that your injuries have not been fully rehabilitated in the initially allotted treatment time, your chiropractor may request further weeks of treatment through WCB in order to more fully manage your injury.
While there are many options out there for pursuing WCB treatment, the Centre for Chiropractic and Sports Rehabilitation will provide you with a well-rounded approach to your injuries that will teach you about your condition and what to do to avoid re-injury. The chiropractors at our clinic take pride in providing you with the best care possible and bringing you back to pre-injury status, if not an even better condition.
