The Worker’s Compensation Board (WCB) will cover you if you are injured while you’re at work. Our Chiropractors are all registered providers for WCB and will help you through your rehabilitation process from the day or your examination right through to providing you with stabilizing exercises to aid in returning you to your pre-injury status.

The first thing you need to do is report your injury to your employer and ensure that they report it to WCB. Next, you phone your preferred (approved WCB), provider and book an examination. It is recommended that you book at least 40 minutes for this examination at our clinic, and up to 60 minutes. When you are booking, please let our office know that your appointment is for a new WCB claim.

When you are coming to our office for your examination you will need the following information for your doctor to open your WCB claim:

  • Your job title;
  • Employer/Company name;
  • Employer address;
  • Employer phone number;
  • WCB claim number (if it’s already been assigned);
  • Date of injury;
  • Description of accident;
  • Any x-rays/ultrasound/CT/MRI taken following the accident;
  • Any missed days of work;
  • Modified duties following the accident;
  • Modified hours following the accident.

Your doctor will take it from here – an initial exam report will be submitted and he/she will recommend the number of treatments per week that you book. The treatments you book will be 20 minutes long and your doctor will provide an array of soft tissue treatment, stretches and rehabilitation during that time.

For more information or to book you initial examination please give us a call at 403-282-8989 or email admin@drlabelle.com

Common Questions:

What if my WCB claim is not approved?
Unfortunately, in the event that your claim is not approved, any treatments provided are your responsibility. Usually WCB will cover the initial assessment and initial treatment, but in the even that they do not, it is your responsibility to pay the clinic for the services rendered.

What is the cancellation policy?
Our office requires at least 24 hours’ notice in order to cancel or move an appointment without penalty. You may cancel online, email our office or leave a voice message.

Direct billing is not available for missed WCB appointments and you as the patient will be responsible for paying the full value of any missed appointments.

The Centre for Chiropractic and Sports Rehabilitation has been an approved WCB provider for over 15 years and with that comes great experience with the associated protocols and enables our practitioners to provide you with the best care possible.
